What to do on a rainy day on the Isle of Wight ? Often when it rains on holiday it can be a struggle to find things to do, you may be surprised at what you can do here at Fort Victoria when it decides to rain. We have three interesting attractions all under cover, a couple of great little shopping spots and a café. You could always put on the wellies and do some puddle jumping in the country park too!. Isle of Wight Reptilarium
The Reptilarium is completely indoors and will take you around an hour to explore, make the most of your visit and look for all the animals and take in the information. (If its busy as we do get busy when it rains) you can come and go all day on your entrance- Reptilarium
Shows run for around an hour, If its raining Pre Book to guarantee a seat. The Island Planetarium offers a fascinating journey through time & space; stimulating your imagination & mind, in our astrodome theatre & exhibition.
The Imaginarium is indoors showcasing local arts and artists, a place for creativity, imagination and amazing gifts!
Museum & Gift Shops
All indoors, a Great place to spend some pocket money or buy yourself a treat...The Museum Gift shop is an amazing emporium of quirky nonsense!. Sweet shop and traditional gifts.
HMS Gladiator Exhibition
A great place to park the history lovers in your family on a rainy day, allow up to an hour to visit....
At approx 2.30pm on the 25th April 1908 the H.M.S Gladiator was in a collision with the S.S St Paul off of Fort Victoria with the loss of 27 lives. In this Brand New Exhibition we retell the story of what happened that fateful day.
